A short biography of John Garfield-Roberts
John was born in the early 1980’s to two very proud parents who raised him in the industrial town of Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.
He pursued a career in the Theatre from an early age, and first took to the boards aged 4 in his Pre-School Christmas production playing Father Christmas. John was selected as a British Ambassador (1999) and was a pivotal member of the team who created the EU White Paper for Young People. John trained at The Chester Gateway Youth Theatre, The Cheshire School of Performing Arts and is a successful graduate from the University of Salford. Having graduated in 2006 with a BA (Hons) 2:1 in Performing Arts specialising in Theatre Acting & Directing, his propensity for all things “dramatic” led him to establish the Laughingmonsta Theatre Company which has successfully produced over 15 plays to date. In 2009 John wrote the book and lyrics for a new musical adaptation of J.M Barries Peter Pan - cleverly entitled 'Pan' with Sussex based composer Adrian Bawtree. Due to his love of the arts and sociable atmospheres, John now resides in an up and coming metropolitan area of Manchester. A true bohemian! |
