"You mean, there's nothing else but this?" "I mean - sometimes - there's not even this." John has just directed the World Premier of Rob Johnston's play The Myth of Escape, the production premiered at Studio Salford 7th-10th July prior to touring regional venues. This is a co-production between Happystorm Theatre and Breath Out Theatre. Two prisoners accused of unspecified crimes against the state are in adjacent cells. The audience sees both prisoners in the same cell, while the prisoners never see each other. | The Great Gatsby - Wilton's Music Hall
As Ye Sow - London/Edinburgh
John can be seen later on in the year in Theatre of the Damned's new version of "As Ye Sow" in a co-production with Bare Bawds - this pyschological thriller will be seen in Edinburgh and London in a part that has been written especially for him.
